More than 80% Delhiites suffer from Vitamin D deficiency Survey
New Delhi, Apr 14 (ANI): About 88% population of Delhi suffers from Vitamin D deficiency which causes chronic muscle pain, spasms, low energy levels, and depression, according to an ASSOCHAM Healthcare Committee report. The data analysis in the samples tested of individuals in the age group of 21 to 65 years from October 2017 to March 2018 revealed the insufficient presence of Vitamin D more than 8 out of 10 bodies. The most insufficiency was found in bracket of 21-35 years. Vitam D deficiency may lead to bone mineralisation, leading to bone softening diseases as rickets in children and osteomalacia and osteoporosis in adults. The deficiency is generally caused by lack of enough sunlight and poor nutrition. The deficiency can be corrected by change in lifestyle and correct supplementation.
